Today was another early morning. I left my place at 6:35am to go to the Blue Mountains for the day; lots of activities planned. First we drove to a place called Scenic World where we took a cable car, railway, and Skyway. There were gorgeous views from up above. The rail car was at a 53 degree angle, VERY steep! We walked through a forest area and enjoyed amazing views of the forest floor. Afterwards we went to a look out point where you can see the Three Sisters. While there we saw a demonstration of the history of the aboriginal people in Australia and how the English came to occupy Australia hundreds of years ago. We went to lunch and I had a delicious grilled fish and chips with a glass of white wine: Sauvignon Blanc. I’ve really been enjoying the white wines here. After lunch we drove to a very remote look out point called Lincoln’s point. It was pretty spectacular. There is truly no rail or anything there to prevent you from falling over the edge so I was careful to stay away from the edge. We left and drove an hour to Featherdale. I had a blast there! I touched a koala and also pet a pregnant kangaroo. It was so awesome!! We left Featherdale and boarded a boat at the Olympic village that took us to Sydney Harbor. It was a nice boat ride and I had beautiful views of Sydney. When I arrived, I met up with Cat and Kellie whom I met last month in my trip through Scandinavia. Janette, Kellie’s sister also joined us! We went to dinner near the Opera house, and it was amazing to see the seagulls completely surround us hoping to eat our food. We also enjoyed dessert nearby at a creperie. It was so great to hang out with them again, I had so much fun!!
